My wife Janet and I have lived in Metchosin for nearly 40 years and raised our children here. We are extremely grateful to be living in Metchosin and to be part of a community with such strong volunteer engagement and community-based organizations we support.

I am a retired medical doctor with decades of senior public service leadership and management experience. I have served as a Metchosin councillor for the past 4 years.

Provide honest, team-based leadership.
Ensure respectful, efficient and effective Council meetings where a diversity of opinions is welcomed.
Build Council consensus rather than governing by a slim 3/2 vote.
Support the incredible volunteers and non-profits that make our community so strong.

Be fiscally responsible and minimize tax increases.
Freeze discretionary capital spending until an objective and professional financial review is completed.
Ensure the new fire hall is designed and built based on Metchosin's needs and what the community can afford.
Make informed, evidence-based decisions and avoid unnecessary spending on consultants and studies that don't serve our residents.
